We at JIIU, located in Akkalkuwa, Maharashtra, are dedicated to providing comprehensive free education, boarding, and daily meals to over 38,000 underprivileged madrasa students. Our institution supports 79 madrasa branches for boys and 37 branches for girls across India, impacting the lives of thousands of children, including orphans.
Our Challenge:
Madrasas play a crucial role in providing education and support to underprivileged Muslim children, who often lack access to mainstream educational institutions. Approximately 99% of madrasa students come from extremely poor families, relying entirely on these institutions for daily meals, education, boarding, and healthcare. Without nutritious meals, their ability to concentrate and succeed academically is significantly hampered. Addressing their nutritional needs is essential for improving their health, educational outcomes, and breaking the cycle of poverty. JIIU, which incurs daily food costs of ₹562,820, monthly costs of ₹16,884,600, and annual costs of ₹205,429,300, relies heavily on community contributions to feed these children. Without your support, it is challenging for Jamia and its 116 branches to meet these expenses.
