‘Whoever feeds a fasting person will have a reward like that of the fasting person, without any reduction in his own reward.’ [Tirmidhi]
As we know that Ramadan, is a month of worship, reading Quran, giving charity, and of course, fasting. It is also a time to connect themselves with the poor, oppressed & suffering people.
There are millions of poor brothers & sisters have no food, meaning they have no choice but break their fast on whatever scant provisions they may have. we mustn’t forget them in extreme poverty & hunger especially during the COVID19 Lockdown which snatched earnings and food from daily wagers & poor people.
Jamia offers an opportunity for the thousand poor, hunger and needy people across India who are facing food insecurity and hunger to be provided an Iftar kit which ensures that their suffering is minimized at least during the month of Ramadan. Each Iftar kit includes basic food items for a family and sufficient for the whole month of Ramadan.
Contents of Kit:
Pulses, Oil, Rice, Flour, Sugar, Tea, Salt, Dates, Turmeric Powder, Coriander powder & Chilli Powder.
Fortunate are those who use this life to invest in their hereafter and provide a food kit to a family for Ramadan just donating ₹ 1000. This small amount can provide enough food staples of a family to enjoy Suhoor and Iftaar every day.
The project will support and contribute in the UN Sustainable Development Goal “Zero Hunger” & National Food Security programs. Improving the lives of poor & needy will also help in making a better tomorrow for the community, nation & whole humanity.
Alhamdulillah! Last year, in 2019, Jamia successfully completed Ramazan project, distributed 12,910 Kits, organized 116 Social Iftaar parities among poor, daily wagers, homeless, widows and food insecure families and impacted 84567 beneficiaries.
Jamia appeals to those who are secure in food to join hands with us in bringing the happiness in the lives of hunger people.
